Andy Vause | BSc FCA DIRECTOR
Yorkshireman, Andy, qualified with BDO in Manchester in 1983. Initially specialising in audit, over the years he has developed expertise in all areas of “general practice” work, including accounting, personal and corporate tax, VAT and all round business advice. Having established his own accountancy practice, he joined Godfrey Holland in 2005, seeing the opportunity to offer a wide variety of services to the smaller owner managed business.
Being a keen golfer and life long supporter of Rotherham United provide Andy with unpredictable interests away from the office!
Louise Raistrick | BCom (Hons), FCA DIRECTOR
Louise qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse in London specialising in personal taxation and high net worth individuals. She moved to KPMG in the partnership sector and then re-located to Manchester. She joined Godfrey Holland in 2008; her role encompasses all aspects of accounting and tax, aiming to make the complex easy to navigate for all individuals and businesses.
She lives locally in Cheadle Hulme. Outside the office she enjoys all the good things in life including travel, food and books.
Linda Clark | FMAAT, AATQB
With many years of accounting experience in various roles Linda is also a member of the AAT, qualifying over 25 years ago and later becoming a Fellow of the association. Working in the Northenden office in the early 1990’s she has seen many faces come and go over the years whether it being fellow colleagues or past and present clients.
She is proud of her son who has followed her into the accounting world; she loves to pass on her long and varied accounting experience on to him.
In her spare time she enjoys surfing the web for the next best holiday deal, to then organise the trip and everyone who joins her, which is just part of her organised nature!
Khurram Taj | BA Hons, AAT
Khurram has many years of experience in both accountancy and payroll for family-owned businesses; he provides a hands-on approach to company finances, ensuring that not only the compliance is up to date but that as a business you have the relevant current company financial information.
With expertise in managing accounting requirements for online retailers/companies he will be able to untangle the complexities of selling through platforms such as eBay and Etsy and collecting money via Stripe and PayPal.
He specialises in Amazon FBA retailers, organising sales reconciliations, VAT returns and multi-currency transactions.
Mike Malone
Mike joined the company in 2020 and having weathered his first pandemic has settled into the organisation as if he’d been with us forever. An experienced practitioner, Mike has worked in many industries including manufacturing and the building trade; he also specialises in Xero and most cloud based accounting systems. His personal approach to both every day and complex issues make him a firm favourite with our clients.
Out of the office Mike will also be found on a golf course, cursing his handicap and drowning his sorrows over that missed put!
